Well…it’s my sisters ipod and for almost ever now we’ve been trying to download movies onto it but, doesn’t work and we spend hours trying to ge the movie onto the ipod. We already own the movie and would like it on the ipod so that when we take a road trip or something we will have the movie on there.

If the movie format is MP4 or H264, you can sync it on your ipod directly. If not, you need a converter, because ipod only support the above format. If you want watch movies on your ipod, I recommend you a nice tool called 4Videosoft iPod Video Converter. hi, it is really easy to do that.
you just need to make sure that your videos are supported by your iPod.
iPod only accepts mp4 format video.
here i know a really nice video converter for iPod.
it can convert all the other video formats to iPod mp4 format easily and it can also do many video editing works, such as trim, crop, merge and so on.

Basically you need to first convert your movie into mp4 file if it is not, then import the mp4 movie into ipod with itunes. Just browsing for a guide , found this, it may be helpful for you.
